Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine-based approach to treating a variety of conditions by triggering specific points on the skin with needles. It involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. Acupuncture is a minimally invasive method to stimulate nerve-rich areas of the skin surface in order to influence tissues, gland, organs, and various functions of the body.
Registered Massage Therapy
Registered Massage Therapists (RMT) are educated and trained to evaluate individual health needs and provide active and passive techniques for patient care. RMTs provide an accurate assessment, differential diagnosis of specific soft tissue and musculoskeletal conditions. RMT’S treat the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems to improve patient health. Our registered massage therapists (RMTs) don’t just treat your symptoms. They carefully consider your medical history, areas of concern, level and type of pain and how your condition restricts your performance and/or daily activities.

NON-RMT Deep Pressure Massage
Deep pressure massage helps to treat chronic or recurring muscle pain. Common reasons you may seek out deep pressure therapy is to get relief from lower back pain, release tension in a stiff neck, sore shoulders, and upper back, or to loosen tight muscles in your arms and legs. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. Sometimes involves the therapist using firmer pressure to reach these key areas and get them to release, which is why this massage is often recommended for people who are comfortable whit a slightly more intense touch.
NON-RMT Relaxing Massage
Relaxing massage is an entire body treatment that is suitable for everyone. This style of massage is the most widely practiced and popular technique, designed to improve blood circulation, promote relaxation, and provide relief from tense and tight muscles. During your treatment, your therapist will use their hands, forearms, and elbows to apply a light-to-medium pressure, massaging your muscles with long, gliding strokes. Other techniques that may also be used are kneading, deep circular movements, bending, stretching, and oscillatory movements that shake or vibrate the body. Trigger point release may also be incorporated if a contracted muscle or knot is found.
Non-RMT Massage with Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is relaxing massage therapy using massage oil or lotion that contains essential oils (highly concentrated plant oil). During an aromatherapy massage, you inhale these essential oil molecules or absorb them through your skin. They are thought to promote beneficial changes in your mind and body by affecting the limbic system, a region of the brain known to be involved in emotion.
By using essential oils in massage therapy we can ease chronic and acute muscle pain naturally, and offer deeper healing to our clients.
Non-RMT Reflexology Foot Massage
Reflexology is the application of pressure to areas on the feet. The theory behind reflexology is that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems of the body. Pressure applied to the foot is believed to bring relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body.
Non-RMT Hot Stone Massage
Smooth, flat, and heated rocks are placed at key points throughout the body as the therapist works in fluid motions rolling the oiled stones over the skin, acting as a warm and comforting extension of their hands. The heat allows greater muscle relaxation, decreases muscle spams and increases range of motion. Most importantly it is extremely relaxing and reduces pain.
NON -RMT - Mom's to be Prenatal Massage
Many expectant mothers wonder if pregnancy massage is safe for the baby. The answer is yes. It’s not only safe, it’s often very beneficial for you and your growing baby. A safe massage for pregnancy is one performed by a massage therapist with advanced training in prenatal massage.
Generally, pregnancy massage uses moderate pressure applied to the muscle groups to relax muscle tension and improve lymphatic and blood circulation. These techniques specifically address many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes and hormone shifts pregnancy brings about. A skilled therapist can help with pain relief during pregnancy as your body goes through these changes.
Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu massage is a traditional Japanese form of bodywork that involves applying rhythmic pressure using fingers, thumbs, palms, and sometimes elbows and knees, along specific points on the body known as meridians or energy channels. Shiatsu massage is typically performed with the recipient fully clothed. The practitioner uses various techniques, such as kneading, tapping, stretching, and holding, to release tension and restore balance. Beyond muscle tension relief, Shiatsu is believed to contribute to improved circulation, reduced stress, enhanced immune function, and overall holistic balance.
